Det var tre påskbrasor i Jonsered igår och jag valde den vid Kåhögs gård. Ett par meter hög och även om man använde gasol och eldkastare så tog det en stund innan det tog sig ordentligt. Det blev rejält varmt efter att tag och killarna med gasolen ska ha en eloge som höll sig nån meter ifrån bara tills det brann tillräckligt bra.
Jättekul att fota, men efter ett tag kände jag att det räckte och skulle vända hem. Då skedde ett påskmirakel. Två mirakel faktiskt. Fullmånen steg bakom grantopparna. Dessutom hade jag helt utan anledning teleobjektivet med mig, jag hade glömt att ta ur det ur väskan!
Den som någon gång försökt planera in månfoto, vet att månen är helt oberäknelig för en vanlig dödlig. Den går upp lite när som helst och lite var som helst. Visst man kan kolla upp det där på nätet och det finns säkert nån app, men gick den upp ett klockslag och på en plats ena kvällen är det helt annorlunda kvällen därpå, till skillnad från solen då.
Till sist fick jag lite glädje av stativet också, med lite längre slutartider.
There were three bonfires to celebrate easter in Jonsered last night. I choose the one by Kähögs farm. A couple of meters high and it was lit by a flame thrower. It took a while for the fire to get really started and the guys who lit it really took a beating by the hot flames. Kudos.
It was lot of fun to shoot, but after a while I thought I had enough and was ready to head home. Then an easter miracle happened. No, two miracles. The full moon rose behind the bonfire and I had for no good reason brought my telephoto lens with me. I forgot to take it out of the bag!
If you ever gone out to shoot the moon, you know it's rather unpredictable. It will rise anytime and anywhere. Sure you can look it up online and there's probably an app for it, but if it rose at one time and place the other night, it will be nothing like that the next. Unlike the sun.
In the end I also used my tripod to shoot some longer exposures.
